Witchfinder Bargains (in UK & USA) & Bath Scare Fest!

Friday, July 1st, 2011

A quick post to let you know that Amazon are offering Witchfinder on Kindle for only 99p as part of their Summer Sale! Follow this link for a Witchfinder bargain. UPDATE: Readers in the USA can now get both Witchfinder books on their Kindles – book 2 now on special offer at $1.58! Here’s the link

In other news, the line-up for ‘Fright Night’ at the Bath Children’s Literature Festival has now been confirmed. You can find full details at the Telegraph’s page here and in the pic below (click the banner above to go to the fest site).

For our segment of this spook-a-palooza I’m honoured to be joining KJ Wignall whose new Young Adult book ‘Blood’ (which I’m itching to read) will be out in September. I’ll be entertaining the crowd with a cut-down version of my bloodthirsty ‘Trial of a Witch’ event – basically I’ll be recruiting a couple of witchfinders from the crowd to help me discover a Bath-based necromancer using all the gruesome torture techniques of the real 17th Century witchfinders. Kevin Wignall and I have already been in touch to discuss dastardly plans!

The whole evening will be hosted by writer Kirsty McKay, author of ‘Undead’. I’ve yet to meet Kirsty but we share the same agent, Veronique Baxter of David Higham Associates, so I’m looking forward to meeting up and chatting about all things grisly in YA fiction! Other mouthwatering events include a rundown of lycan lore with my old pal Steve Feasey (the ‘Changeling books are ace – buy them, read them, NOW!), a masterclass of the undead by Dave Grimstone, and further diabolical discussions with two genre giants Darren Shan and Charlie Higson. Quite a crew, eh?
